SAND CREEK festival, inc. PRESENTS
Flying the Creek
Saturday, July 9
10:00 – 1:00
Come out and watch Newton and the surrounding areas radio controlled planes and their master controller pilots maneuver these fascinating aircraft over the park. You might see some touch and go landings, a few acrobatics and some really cool small to large airplanes. The event will be held by the Harvey County Radio Control Club.
Dealing with the challenges of today requires problem-solvers who bring different perspectives and are willing to take risks, Harvey County Radio Control Club emerged out of a pursuit to inspire and support the community, and a desire for actions to speak louder than words. Established in 2000, we’re an organization driven by progressive ideas, bold actions, and a strong foundation of support.
Harvey County Radio Control Club is located near Newton, Kansas, USA and is the developer and caretaker of the Harvey County Radio Control Park at Harvey County East Park.
The park consists of a grass runway, a scale crawler course, a dedicated rock crawler course, a dirt race track with flat oval, stadium, and u4rc layout options available, a designated drone racing course, and boating opportunities are available at the lake just across the road.
Camping is available in Harvey County East Park. This will be the only location in the region where you can experience virtually all aspects of the RC hobby in one location.
As the park is developed and improved, the club will host events such as IMAC competitions, Scale Crawler competitions, dirt track, stadium, and U4RC races, drone racing, boating, and many other events.
