King Midas was organized in 1965, as a four-piece group, and was originally named King Midas & the Muflers.  In 1966, the group became an eight-piece show band, performing in a six-state area, billed as the “King Of The Show Bands“.  The group released two records in the late 1960’s, “Get Down With It” & “Mellow Moonlight”. A solid rhythm section, crisp-tight horns, and lead vocals that bring the days of James Brown, Wilson Picket, Buddy Holly, & Elvis, as well as Huey Lewis, Stevie Ray Vaughn and others!  

Their music is well suited for many occasions and targeted at the musical taste of all ages. They have played many types of engagements: conventions, class reunions, town festivals, weddings, company Christmas parties, and nightclubs. KING MIDAS established themselves as one of the premier “oldies“ party bands in the Mid West.  Wherever they play they gain enthusiastic fans who keep coming back for more of the high energy performances which set KING MIDAS apart from the rest of the “Oldies” Pack! The bands groove-oriented classic rock is guaranteed to keep your toes tapping and a smile on your face!

On March 16th 2006 King Midas & the Muflers was inducted into the Kansas Music Hall of Fame!

Disco Dick and the Mirrorballs are the Nation’s Premiere Tribute to the Disco Era. The Dick was formed in Kansas City, Missouri in 1998. With more than 20 years under their belts’, Disco Dick & the Mirrorballs have gained quite a reputation for their one of a kind show. Performing the greatest hits from KC and the Sunshine Band, Kool and the Gang, the Commodores, Earth, Wind & Fire, Michael Jackson and many more, the group has solidified themselves as a world renowned name.

Over the course of two hours, Disco Dick & the Mirrorballs take the audience on a journey through the days in which Disco ruled! The Disco Dick experience is truly one of a kind and sure to leave the audience in awe, night in and night out. The costumes are authentic, the platforms are real and so is the hair!

Disco is a genre of dance music and a subculture that emerged in the 1970s from the United States’ urban nightlife scene. Its sound is typified by four-on-the-floor beats, syncopated basslines, string sections, horns, electric piano, synthesizers, and electric rhythm guitars. AND the dress was as glamorous and unique and the music! Dress your best to win cash and prizes at the concert this year.
