TIME OUT FOR THE KIDZ

schedule

Saturday, August 17, 2019

10:00 am — 3:00 pm

The Sand Creek Summer Daze Festival offers something for kids of all ages. The Time Out for the Kidz area will be an interactive, entertaining and educational experience for young tots as well as young teens. Stroll through the booths and tents to learn life skills, safety measures and first aid or take on carnival games and meet animals.

There will be several special events happening in the Time Out for the Kidz area. Join the Harvey County United Way  in dunking your favorite (or not so favorite) teachers, coaches and public figures!  Jump to the moon with the Newton YMCA in a bounce house extravaganza.

This year join the Festival’s pirate theme to meet and do battle with the ScallyWags Pirate Comedy Team! Come see their life size pirate ship in Athletic Park! The ScallyWags are located in central Kansas and have been performing their acts of comedy and entertainment at Renaissance Festivals, private functions, Pirate Fests, weddings, conventions and more for well over a decade. They are one of the longest running Pirate Acts in the United States. The Group does stage acts, sword fighting, improv comedy and more. They have been featured in magazines, books, radio, documentaries and television.

Over 15 sponsors will have something for the next generation of Newtonians!
